This edition is out of print, and has become particularly sought after by collectors. In terms of numbers printed, this edition is extremely rare — almost as scarce as snow on Dothnach! The lucky ones who own a copy and have enjoyed the story while treating the book with care, may find their efforts handsomely rewarded.

The first edition of the very first book in the Haadri cycle was intended especially for the stalwart fans of the stories on the Haadri website. It had a small print run — cherished by collectors — as well as previously unpublished illustrations by Joules Taylor herself and Haadri enthusiasts DMarie Smith and Kimberly Turriff.

In preparing for the 2nd edition, both author and publisher took the opportunity to revise some aspects of the book's design and content. For instance, rather than simply shed the number of pages vacated by the deleted illustrations, Joules has re-written some sections, adding exciting new material to fill the gaps. The result is an even more satisfying read — the 2nd, revised edition — Prime Contact.
